Classics
In 1996 I started to work as a fine art photographer. All the classic pieces I did so far are gathered here, tho I do have to dig deep sometimes to get a certain image from the archives so it's not complete yet, by far!
dated 1994 until 2009

Waiting
2009Waiting is the birth announcement card photo I did of mother Dominique, who's waiting together with son Lieuwe for babygirl Juultje. Waiting received the 3rd prize from 31000 contestants at the Nikon International Photography Awards 2004-2005. The American magazine Pilgrimage placed the image on the cover and the image is still a classic for how pregnancy photography should be. Stylish. Nude. Timeless. And always intrigueing.

Changed Reality
1997Testing slideprints, using the positive image as a negative. Nowadays we easily switch from positive to negative in Photoshop, but back then it was all one big experiment with C41 printing and developing. I always love this image of trees very much, I took it in Breda-Noord, the Netherlands. Chemical print on polyplate, original 1997 copy.
Chassé Theatre Breda
1995When the Chassé Theatre was built I was there often, hanging around at the site and having a look at all intrigueing agles of the building designed by architect Herman Herzberger. The curved roof was still open, and I was allowed to take photos from the big crane too. Here started my love for urban exploring, though this was a new, not yet finished building and not an old abandoned place. Now the series is added to my series and book Traces Of Silence.
